With Bethesda’s E3 2015 press conference taking place last night and showcasing just about everything in regards to Fallout 4, it was surprising to see Todd Howard of Bethesda enter the Microsoft E3 stage. Todd brought with him fresh Fallout 4 gameplay, but more importantly, Todd brought with him a Fallout 4 nuclear bombshell for Xbox One gamers.
Basically, up until now, the PC has had a major advantage over console versions of Bethesda’s games. That major advantage came in the form of fan made mods, which have greatly extended the lifespan of titles such as Skyrim. Consoles have largely been left in the dark when it comes to mods, making the console versions of many games seem lesser by comparison.
However, as announced by Todd Howard during Microsoft’s E3 2015 press conference, any mods made for the PC version of Fallout 4 will also apply to the Xbox One version of the game. This is a monumental shift in favor of consoles, and offers an extremely compelling reason to pick up the Xbox One version of the game over the PS4 version.
How modding will work exactly on Xbox One was not revealed, but one has to imagine that it will be a much simpler and streamlined process compared to how mods work on PC. This will hopefully blow the doors wide open for gamers that have been interested in mods, but have simply been unable to apply them for whatever reason, whether that is they simply do not know how to use mods, or their computers are not powerful enough to run high quality games.
‘My Little Pony’ mod for ‘Skyrim’. What crazy ideas will mods bring to ‘Fallout 4’ on Xbox One?
With the ability to use PC mods in the Xbox One version of Fallout 4, this leaves open the possibility that other games will have similar modding capabilities. Nothing has been announced in that regard so far, but it seems unlikely that this functionality would be implemented to only apply to a single game. Hopefully more titles are announced in the future that will also support PC mods on Xbox One.
As if having access to PC mods wasn’t enough, the Xbox One version of Fallout 4 has an additional bonus. As it turns out, all versions of Fallout 4 on Xbox One will come bundled with Fallout 3. Of course, anyone that has Fallout 3 on Xbox 360 will be able to play the game on their Xbox One anyway starting this holiday thanks to the recently announced Xbox 360 backwards compatibility that is being added to the system, but with the added benefit of a free copy of Fallout 3 along with the exciting prospect of PC modding capabilities, it looks like the Xbox One version of Fallout 4 may just be the definitive Fallout4 Call of duty no hud. experience.

Fallout 4 is releasing November 10th, 2015 on PC, PS4, and Xbox One.
Fallout 4 mods have finally been added to Xbox One. So I thought I'd go over the process you need to go through to install them. These mods let you change the way the game is played in new and unique ways, such as using lightsabers, or activating cheats.
Keep in mind that installing mods will make a separate save file for your character, and achievements are disabled on that file.
How to Install Mods on Xbox One
The first thing you need to do is sign up for a bethesda.net account if you don't already have it. You can do this at the official site.
How To Download Fallout 4 Mods Pc Body Mods
While looking at the Mods section, you can scroll to the top to see which mods you currently have loaded.
You can also select the order they are loaded in by pressing Y to bring up the order menu, then X to change the order. Some mods need to load in a certain order for them to work, so carefully read each mod you download.
It is important to note that you can only have 2 GB worth of mods loaded at 1 time, so pay attention to how much space you have left.
The good news is that most of the mods don't take up a lot of space, so you shouldn't have to worry too much unless you're trying to download everything.
Remember these are 3rd party mods and Bethesda does not create any of them. Some mods may have issues or not work. If this happens, simply disable the mod in question.
You will also not see some mods that the PC versions have, such as those which include nudity or copyright infringement.
Let me know if you have any other questions about getting Fallout 4 mods on your Xbox One!
