Regardless of the types of characters you enjoy creating within Skyrim Skyrim cutting room floor reddit. , the armor your wear is an extremely important part of your equipment. Whether it’s cloth, leather, or plate, armor provides you with a line of defense against the harsh conditions in Tamriel and, occasionally, with a set of bonus enchantments that boost your character’s skills as well. With Skyrim: Special Editionpulling us back into countless hours of playing once again, we took a look back at some of the best armor sets available.
Here’s our picks along with their locations in Skyrim.
Wolf Armor Set
The Wolf Armor is the garb of choice for the elite members of the Companions. Classified as Heavy Armor, the set consists of a helmet, breastplate, gloves, and boots all adorned with feral motifs such as wolf heads, skulls, or teeth. Download lagu guns n roses sweet child o mine mp3. While this set cannot be crafted by the player, it can be obtained for free during the Companions questline or purchased from Eorlund Gray-Mane after completing the “Proving Honor” quest. It shares the same values as Steel Armor but features a lighter set of boots, thus making it preferable for players who focus on Heavy Armor in their character builds.
Skaal Armor
Added in the Dragonborn DLC pack, the Skaal Armor set is worn by the inhabitants of Skaal Village located on Solsheim. It shares defense values comparable to Leather Armor, but features a much better visual appearance for characters roaming around in the snowy conditions present throughout Skyrim. Unlike many other sets, the Skaal Armor generally must be looted from specific NPCs or pickpocketed with the Misdirection Perk. You can also find a complete set by exploring Highpoint Tower.
Dawnguard Heavy Armor
Worn by the members of the Dawnguard, this Heavy Armor set features one of the best visual aesthetics available throughout Skyrim. The mixed set of leather and plate comes complete with a medieval crusader-inspired helmet that reduces damage you take from vampires when worn and a shield that increases your bashing damage against vampires, making it a must-have for vampire hunters in-game. You’ll receive a set for joining the Dawnguard, or, if you’re a vampire, from completing a side quest that requires you to frame a member of the Dawnguard for murder.
Linwe’s Armor Set
This unique armor set is designed for those who prefer a stealthier approach to combat, providing bonuses to your character’s stamina, sneaking skill, one-handed attacks, and bow damage. While it may look like the Thieves Guild Armor set, Linwe’s features a different color pattern focused on black, grey, and brown leather with a unique hood matching many worn by casters. You’ll receive it from looting or pickpocketing Linwe at Uttering Hills Cave during the [Thieves Guild quest “Summerset Shadows”]( http://elderscrolls.wikia.com/wiki/SummersetShadows(Quest) — it cannot be obtained anywhere else.
Blackguard’s Armor Set
The Blackguard’s Armor set is another set of light armor that is nearly identical to Linwe’s armor set from a visual standpoint, but features a completely different (and more powerful) set of bonuses that are built for characters who aren’t too fond of combat. Instead of providing bonus damage, the Blackguard set provides increasing your carrying capacity by 50, boosts your lockpicking and pickpocketing success chance by 40%, and lowers prices from merchants by 25%. You’ll receive it as a reward from Glover Mallory for completing the quest “Paid in Full.”
Ancient Shrouded Armor
This old set of armor is typically worn by members of the Dark Brotherhood, but instead of provided a basic array of enchantments, it has a much more powerful set of bonuses than the base set of Shrouded Armor in Skyrim. It may look the same, but gives you a 100% resistance to all poison effects, muffles your footsteps and movement, allows bows to deal 35% more damage, and doubles the sneak attack damage of all one-handed weapons. It’s basically a match made in heaven for assassins and can be obtained off the corpse of an assassin inside a secret room during the quest “Locate the Assassin of Old.”
Blades Armor
Worn by members of one of the most highly regarded organizations in all Tamriel, the Blades Armor is a set of Heavy Armor heavily influenced by the Blades origins within the Akaviri, featuring a samurai-like design complete with a dragon crest on the helm. From an attributes standpoint, the entire set isn’t anything to write home about and doesn’t provide any unique bonuses to the wearer. But, that doesn’t stop it from being one of the best-looking sets in Skyrim. You’ll be able to find a full set in Sky Haven Temple while completing the main quest.
Nightingale Armor
Like the Nightingale Bow, the Nightingale Armor set is one of the best-looking sets in the entire Elder Scrolls franchise. This set is given to members of the Nightingales, a faction dedicated to the service of the Daedric Prince Nocturnal, and it can be obtained by the player over the course of the Thieves Guild questline. This set of light armor offers bonuses to stamina, lockpicking, illusion spells, one-handed attacks, frost resistance and allows the user to move around silently — making it the penultimate goal of characters designed for stealth gameplay. Unlike the other sets in this list, the Nightingale Armor is also leveled, meaning that the bonuses provided scale with the level you receive it at. As such, make sure to complete the quest “Trinity Restored” when you’re past level 32 for the maximum bonus the armor provides.

2 years agoI know that this is one of many posts about vampire mods, but I want to clarify that this is not about comparing which is better. I want to know which will be suitable for my playthrough.
So the last time I played with was Better Vampires. I did enjoy it first but after quite some time I was overwhelmed by its massive amount of abilities and powers. It was too much for my liking and the reason I will never go back is that it can quickly bug out and losing my playthrough is not an option.
So I stumbled upon Sacrosanct and Vampiric Thirst. I researched quite a bit about those mods but I haven't decided yet which would be the most suitable. Basically Roleplay and Immersion is a big thing for me and I wanted to play as a fallen knight/Sauron kind of vampire lord with conjuration, illusion and destruction. There are no clear patterns which of those two mods would be the best for this kind of playthrough.
Hemomancy is cool for a destruction focused build and the VL perks are also nice but the endless struggle to manage your blood pool and being diverse with your source of blood etc. is a big roleplaying aspect that is very appealing to me.
Maybe someone could make a short summary that explains what both mods have to offer (someone who actually played both and can tell how they felt in-game).
TL;DR: Nope, sorry.
EDIT: Thanks for the suggestions, I will go with Vampiric Thirst Redone.

First of all sorry for my bad English. I've many immersive-ideas to improve the gaming experience that I'm not able to realize due to my incompetence with scripts and stuff like that. I hope some talented scripter/modder out of there may feel inspired and decide to make them real.
I'll post them in this topic as they come:
Vampirism Overhaul
I think that becoming a vampire in Skyrim is more of a handicap than a gift. I mean, your skills never gain a great boost so where is the deal? With just a few changes, becoming a blood-seeker would be a better experience for sure.
Instead of a hunger-based system (which makes the vampire grow stronger as he grow hungry and reverts him to a “neophyte” after the feeding), I based everything on time and blood. Vampiric powers will get stronger as the vampire feeds on human blood. He can feed himself only once per day. Along with this, the hunger mechanism will trigger a transformation that will increase the vampire stats by a certain percentage. Now, let’s see everything in detail.
General idea of vampire
Vampires (as they are intended to be into my mod) are normal humans infected by a curse which stains their blood with darkness. As the darkness slowly overcomes the human nature of its host, the vampire becomes physically stronger and gains control over the dark element. The darkness feeds on human primal fear of void and death. It is able to manipulate the human mind and taint it as a deadly poison, pushing it toward madness. The darkness has even the power of molding shadows and bringing them to life. Along with increased mental faculties (which mean better speechcraft, mind control and increased spell power) and superior physical strength, agility and resistance, the vampire develops many weaknesses toward elements that traditionally represents life and light (silver-which is considered the most pure and holy metal of all-, garlic-which is purifying-, fire and sunlight). As darkness subdue human nature, its powers grow along with its weaknesses. The infection gets deeper after any feeding so, the vampire will learn new abilities after drinking blood. If the human nature inside the vampire starts preventing him from feasting on human necks, the darkness will try to overcome the control of the body turning it into a giant bat-beast. If the vampire survives long enough without drinking blood, he will eventually get rid of his curse and become free once again.

Vampire speed is proverbial. The effect of this spell is the same as 'Whirlwind Sprint' shout, except that you can use this one as many times as you wish. It is useful to get out of the reach of your enemies or just moving around.
*Note: Slow Time would have been great to recreate the feeling of high speed movements but I wasn't really sure about that*
+ Lure of the Slumber (Illusion – Usable 1 time per day)
The purpose of this spell is to bring your enemy in a state of torpor and make him fall asleep (in a bed if you cast it in a Inn or in a house, on the road if you cast it outstide). This should make the feeding process quite easier.
*Note: Modders would probably have more than a problem making this castable outside so making it usable near a bed would be good enough.*

The target runs away in fear for 20 seconds.
*Works on targets with the same level of the caster or lower*
+ Mantle of Shadows (Illusion – 60 sec)

Infuse weapon with Darkness (visual effect of Ebony Mail) draining Magicka and Stamina on hit by 15pt per second for 10 seconds.

+ Weakness to Garlic-Poisoned Weapons 50%
+ Daylight causes the vampire to lose 1 Health, Magicka and Stamina per second, prevents the vampire from regenerating Health, Magicka or Stamina, lowers them by 50 and prevents the usage of his powers
+ Being seen transforming adds 1000 gold to your bounty
-Spells
+ Form of Wolf (Alteration – Usable 1 time per day)
The caster turns into a wolf. This transformation grants the same speed of a horse. While into this form nothing can be equipped/looted/casted/interacted. Other stats remain the same.
*Note: This power doesn’t cause threat except if someone sees you while transforming*
+ Form of Bat (Alteration)
The caster turns into a swarm of bats that can’t be hit or affected in anyway. Moreover, he gains the ability to fly. While into this form nothing can be equipped/looted/casted/interacted. Other stats remain the same.

+ Swarm of Bat (Conjuration – 20 sec)
The caster summons a swarm of bats that deal damage to any foe in 15ft absorbing 10 health per second for their master.

Same visual effect as for the Dragon Soul Absorption. The caster absorbs blood from the target (200 health). This is actually considered a feeding method and lowers the hunger.
*Note: This power causes threat*
+ Scourge of Darkness (Conjuration – 20sec – Usable 1 time per day)
Paralyzes any opponent in 20ft with dark tentacles which drain 5pt of Magicka and Stamina and 3pt of Health per second from any opponent caught in this spell.

The vampire gathers dark energy to unleash a powerful shockwave that causes 90pt of damage to Health, Magicka and Stamina in 30ft, pushing away anyone around.
*LEVEL X (Beast form, triggered by blood-abstinence *equal to one week of missed feeding* - Duration 600 sec.)
This state of madness is caused by the blood abstinence and endures as long as the vampire doesn’t feed himself. Beast form transformation regularly occurs at this stage after 24 hours (just the first transformation is triggered at reaching this level of vampirism). Staying in Human Form at this point is very hazardous because the abstinence of blood weakens the body of the vampire and makes his weakness more significant.
